The Mission
As the "Master of the Aviation Schedule," this role steers the hard physical and regulatory realities of drone development safely through the Stage-Gate process. Your mission is to lead the end-to-end execution of complex VectaCore projects—synchronizing the three distinct speeds of the company (long hardware cycles, agile software sprints, and rigorous compliance documentation) from initiation to final acceptance.
Your Responsibilities
End-to-End Stage-Gate Control: Lead the master schedule for all hardware and certification milestones (Concept, PDR, CDR, FAI), ensuring products navigate the formal development phases smoothly.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Define critical convergence dates where hardware and mechanics must be physically ready for software teams to test their increments, preventing siloed delays and ensuring system-level integration.
Hardware & Supply Chain Synchronization: Monitor long lead times for physical prototype components and coordinate with the Supply Chain to ensure parts arrive exactly when needed for HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) or flight testing.
BOM Management: Take ownership of ensuring that Bill of Materials (BOMs) are finalized and released on schedule to support procurement and manufacturing.
Budget & Resource Control: Continuously monitor project costs (COGS and development hours) and manage engineering capacity allocation to avoid bottlenecks and ensure financial fidelity.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify technical, supply chain, or regulatory risks that could impact milestones or SAIL III/IV certification, implementing immediate mitigation strategies.
